Andrew Duncanson & Take a Ride Featuring Michael Peloquin

For two decades, Andrew Duncanson has been the driving force behind the Kilborn Alley Blues Band. As lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist, he's guided the band from their humble beginnings in Champaign, Illinois, to their current standing on the national and international blues scene. Andrew and the band are seasoned performers, gracing stages from European festivals like Moulin Blues and Dark Season Blues Festival to major U.S. events like the Chicago Blues Festival and Portland Waterfront Blues Festival. They are also beloved regulars in their hometown of Champaign-Urbana. Andrew has toured with the Nick Moss Band, collaborates with Gerry Hundt, and recently joined Mike Welch's Connection on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise.

Michael Peloquin is a dynamic saxophonist, harmonica player, and horn arranger whose career spans blues, R&B, funk, jazz, country and beyond. Originally from Champaign, Illinois, he moved to San Francisco in 1984, quickly becoming a sought-after musician in the Bay Area and beyond.

Michael Peloquin has contributed to Chris Cain's albums, film soundtracks, and collaborated with music legends like Jeff Beck. His harmonica prowess was recognized with a Gold Medal at the Hohner International Harmonica Competition.

Currently back in his hometown in the Midwest, Michael is featured on the new release from Andrew Duncanson, playing, arranging and singing with Take A Ride, Andrew Duncanson & Friends, The Bubble City Playboys, The Blues Deacons and New Twang City. Michael also continues to lend his musical expertise to West Coast live performances, recordings, and arranging projects, leaving an indelible mark on the world of blues and many other genres.

Dan, a seasoned bassist and guitarist with over 40 years of experience performing across the Midwest (currently with Andrew Duncanson and the Take A Ride band), is also the owner of Crescent Moon Studios in Monticello, IL.  Hailing from Decatur, Illinois, his lifelong dedication to music led him to establish a professional recording and production environment where he collaborates with artists to capture their unique sounds.  His extensive performance background informs his approach to production, ensuring a musician-centric experience.

Drummer Josh Quirk has been playing professionally for almost 30 years. A musician with a lengthy portfolio, Quirk has played from coast to coast, including touring and shows with Duke Tumatoe (Warner Bros., Bob and Tom Show), Derek Frigo (Enuff Z’Nuff), Texas harmonica great Gary Primich, Viktor Krauss (Lyle Lovett, Bill Frisell), and Chicago blues standout Eddie Shaw. His discography includes recordings for Duke Tumatoe and Arnold McCuller (James Taylor, Phil Collins). Quirk also had a cameo appearance as a drummer in the Disney film, The Country Bears. Quirk’s dynamic drumming is the engine room of the band, and he lays down rock-solid grooves that get listeners on their feet. 

Jesse, a seasoned keyboardist with over three decades of stage and studio experience, brings a wealth of musicality to every performance. Based in both Chicago and Champaign, he's a true journeyman, having lent his talents to a diverse array of bands. From the infectious funk of The Funky Butt Drum Club and the spirited energy of The Brat Pack, to the soulful grooves of The Surreal Deal and the genre-bending explorations of Jazz Sandwich. A master of the piano and organ, Jesse effortlessly navigates the landscapes of rock, blues, jazz, country, and beyond, always prioritizing one thing: creating a groove that moves the soul. He's an accomplished musician, equally comfortable laying down intricate solos or seamlessly integrating with the ensemble, always driven by the pure joy of making music that resonates.
